Installation & Setup Windows Task Scheduler stays active after it runned a batch fileHi small question, My batch file runs quite well in windows task scheduler, but it stays active. In my case , it was default set to Windows Vista ,Windows 2008 and my server was windows 2008R2. Putting the directory name (without quotes) in the 'Start in' fixed the error. To use "Run whether user is logged in or not" you need to use UNC paths orpoint to the physical disk (if local drive). I have found a handful of forums stating R2 has issues with batches. Some have stated that R2 will not execute batches via task scheduler if there are quotations in the Troubleshooting you can difficult, since you might be offered no choice but to restart with a blue-screen malfunction. Is that the really useful "unexpected error?" If it's a permissions issue, shouldn't it state that instead of claiming to have finished? I have also verified the user being added to the Log on as a batch job option and that there are full permissions to the files (all on the local machine). Kept getting 0x1 on the new machine. Because these principles are explained for for those who to use, sometimes the pre-requisites are returned by low-application software.
