Sense Key Hardware Error Mac
I have burnt quite a few CD with no problem at all. Same problem……….the 2008 15″ Macbook Pro. Pity our damn superdrives are up shit creek without a paddle I was going to post over in the mac forum initially, but being a newbie I thought I should stay Welcome to Mac-Forums! useful reference

Everything worked fine until I tried to burn a DVD. see here Even with 16x rated media, i am limited to 2x. To get any help here you need to write a post header like "I'M A NAUGHTY HOUSEWIFE AND MY SUPERDRIVE NEEDS SPANKING". Would that help?
Problem still persists and I'm running out of dvds. I have had some success with Maxells and Verbatims. I can also test with my MacBook Pro. this page And what were you doing when the error occurred?

Both are supposed to be compatible with the drive, but apparently not from this vendor.
It solved my problem back then, Right now (2 months after burning my last DL) I'm experiencing the same errors. I threw out Toast 7.0 and went back to Toast 6.07. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. I have tried several different DVD-R discs and I am still having problems.
Use a different recorder. I had fiddled with Language sequences, permissions, zapping PRAM, resetting the SMC, then I tried the obvious: cleaning as per your instructions. Maxell DVD lens cleaner..Everything burned right away after using once!!!! Just curious if it has anything to do with the amount of space you have left on your computer when you try to burn a data DVD.
