Sccm Error 50 The Request Is Not Supported
I was just trying to make sure it was even possible to install drivers from a TS other than the OS deployment or if I was wasting my time? Error 5016 in file shicsetting.cp Windows cannot install required files. Basically I would create a driver folder for the various machines and import the drivers into them. Any ideas why I'm getting the above error? re-added them back into the task sequence and it works now. When I press F8, I can see through command prompt that my OS is sitting on D: while in WinPE, which would explain why the software installs are failing. I wonder if your -s switch was correct. https://www.windows-noob.com/forums/topic/3964-install-drivers-after-os/ I think my problem lies in the driver package, not the task sequence or advertisement, but I was hoping to confirm that the task sequence approach I was taking would work If you are running the TS from within an installed version of Windows itslef, I would expect it to fail because you are attemppting to format the current system drive which Most of the driver related topics I've found and read involve installing the drivers during the initial OS deployment task sequence.

As soon as I changed this it fixed the issue. If this happens again I'll look at the Execmgr.log on the client and see what comes up.
