S400 Memory Card Error

Just worried that it's the battery failing. I try it for the heck of it (skeptical I must say - since when does anything free work), low & behold - it worked! If you look inside the slot on the side of the slot where the SD card slide switch would be, you'll see a glint of gold color on the side. I'm going to try replacing the date battery. My camera stopped reading cards during a trip to canada, and has been out of service for months. otherwise when the camera has been reassembled , the sliding switch wont work properly ( it wont ‘click' into position and may break the little black slider that it operates.) Reply I used my palm pilot which has slot for these memory cards and downloaded them that way. Be careful putting it back together! You insert the card in the reader, insert the reader in a USB slot, and the card should show up as a drive that you simply copy and paste the pictures
