So, i went through the whole process of reinstalling SCUP (making sure the required hotfix was pre-installed), generated a new certificate, placed it into the above listed stores. With the new digital certificate in place on the SCUP/WSUS/SCCM server(s) and the client systems, future updates should be applied with no issues. Not a thing I ordinarily read through, but I really enjoy your views none the less. If you do not have SCUP 2011, you can download it from Microsoft. I used the registry folder Wow6432Node to know if it was a 32 or 64 bit machine and to know where to install the correct version.
