Unlike some of the error weird error messages in OS X, a reboot or Finder restart didn't do the trick. I wanted to copy it again to a mobile hard drive for use away from home. I'm going to resurrect the Mini to try and salvage the files … and use the external drive for future storage! The first thing that you have to do is to create a new folder, copy it to the desktop and then move back to the drive.If you receive an Error Code Then I tried the following to fix the problem: Disk Utility: I ran Verify Disk and it said my disk is OK; fsck -fy: it also said my disk is OK; This is occuring maybe 5% of the time. my review here In my case think it might be a sign the the drives are failing, so another reason I need so many back ups (there's another in the cloud).

Boom! I don't get anything to work with the description above using the "dot_clean" function.. When I double click it, Finder tries to verify it, and fails the verification with an error message saying that there is an input/output error. Check Permission and sharing options: You should check the permissions for copying the files in the finder.
